Abyssalcraft isn't wonderful, but it's fine. I prefer EvilCraft and/or Blood Magic for the dark magickna, and it looks like The Betweenlands exists for 1.10.2 which is a muuuuuch better fleshed out dimension (it's also the spoopiest Minecraft mod ever made).
